Drywall Tally ("the app", "we") is an estimating and takeoff tool for drywall contractors. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what control you have over it.
Information we collect
If you create an account, we collect your email address (email/password or Google sign-in). You can also use the app without an account ("Continue without account"), in which case no personal identifiers are collected at all. As you use the app, it stores the job data you enter: job names, room/area measurements, material and labor tallies across drywall, ceilings, insulation, steel, mud, corner bead and custom items, your labor and material price settings, and the reports (Purchase Orders, Job Reports, Labor Payouts) you generate. We do not collect your location or advertising identifiers.
How we use it
Your information is used solely to run the app for you: calculating materials, labor and profit for your jobs, generating your PDF reports, and backing up your data so it's available if you reinstall or switch devices. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else — Drywall Tally is a single-user app; nothing you enter is visible to other Drywall Tally users.
Where it's stored
If you're signed in, your app data (jobs, prices, saved reports, profile info) is backed up to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) under your own account, encrypted in transit. Your device also keeps a local copy, which is the source of truth the app uses day to day — the cloud copy is a backup. Subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing; we never see or store your payment card details.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. You can delete your cloud backup and account at any time from within the app (More → Delete Account & Cloud Data), or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion of the cloud backup and account is permanent; note that jobs and prices already saved to your device are not automatically erased by that action — see the deletion page for how to clear those too.
Children
Drywall Tally is a professional trade tool intended for adults working in construction estimating. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
